The Conference will be held in Citadines on Bourke, 131-135 Bourke Street, Melbourne. This is located in the heart of the Melbourne CBD.
International flights are available to and from Melbourne Airport direct from New Zealand, major Asian cities and America’s east coast or from other destinations including Europe and Africa with stopovers in Singapore, Perth or the Middle East.
To and from the airport
Taxis and Ubers are available from the terminals at Melbourne Airport and cost around $50-$60 per trip. The Skybus is also available for $38 return per person, with trips every 7 minutes directly from Melbourne Airport to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne’s CBD, with free city hotel transfers.
Melbourne’s public transport system comprises trains, trams and buses throughout the city that operate via the myki ticketing system. Myki’s can be purchased from major train stations and 7-elevens.
The free tram zone located in Melbourne’s CBD allows travel throughout a limited area of the city without the need to have a valid myki ticket.
A wide variety of accommodation is available throughout Melbourne’s CBD from hostels to 5 star hotels. Accommodation is available at the conference venue, Citadines on Bourke, from around $200 per night in their studio apartments.
Melbourne is located in close proximity to a number of stunning landmarks that are perfect viewing for a day trip or night away. Tours of the stunning Great Ocean Road and magnificent Twelve Apostles are readily available, along with trips to see the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island and winery tours throughout the Yarra Valley also available as day trips from the CBD.

Melbourne will be observing Australian Eastern Standard Time (UTC + 10) throughout the conference, with daylight savings to come into effect on Sunday 6 October, moving to Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time (UTC + 11).
Melbourne’s weather can be unpredictable, but October generally has average lows of 10.6°C and average highs of 20.1°C with an average of 13 days of rain.
AFL Grand Final
The weekend before the conference Melbourne will be hosting the Australian Football League Grand Final, with hotels and domestic flights likely to be in high demand across the long weekend (Friday 27 September – Sunday 29 September).
